I caught the acting bug way back in elementary school where I participated in my local community theater and took part in many school performances. By the time I had gotten to high school I had found a home at a screen acting school and began formal training in acting and discovered a keen interest in behind the scenes production. This training and my love of film both behind and in front of the camera lead me to pursue a degree in Film Production at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I graduated with honors in May 2019. Diving headfirst into the behind the scenes side of the industry gave me a deeper understanding and appreciation of the intricacies and subtleties that bring a great story to life. Telling stories that touch the people watching them, whether through my writing, capturing them on film, or becoming them on screen, is what spurs me on. I love every element of my creative process that results in moving and heartfelt stories.
As a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo I have extensive training in weapons and sparring. During my 14 years of competition I won a gold medal in weapons at the American Taekwondo Association’s World Championships, a bronze medal in sparring and numerous Texas State Championships in forms, weapons and sparring. I have taken classes in boxing, tumbling and Jiu Jitsu to round out my martial arts skills. Here in L.A. I have expanded my tricking and fight choreography skills with a focus on how they translate on film. See below for clips where this training has manifested to my on-screen performances.
Just wrapped filming on feature film In Her City directed by Canadian director Carl Bessai. Currently submitting my senior thesis to film festivals and in the writing and rewriting process for two feature films respectively.
